My 1st and only time playing PF was in a PbP game ran by R. Josh Holland. I was a dwarvling minstrel. Lothar Silvertongue - The first rocker of the megaverse.
Sadly the game crapped out. That's to bad, because I think we were all having fun and I was starting to get invested in the character, developing a complex persona for him and detailed back story as the game when along.

Same thing happened for my 1st and only Rifts campaign. :(

My first run with PF was in high school, where my elven ranger ended up in contemporary times and chopped up an elevator full of cops with a big sword until shot to death (ran out of invis).
Good Times indeed (was 1st ed)

My group just finished up a PF 2e campaign, and we'll probably start a new ones after a brief stint with a Rifts campaign. We haven't played a 1e since 2e came out, but we do pull things form the 1e book, (such as psychic powers, the skills that let a wizard pick up some diabolism and summoning basics, and hybrid 1e/2e hand to hand skills).

2ed here, have an active campaign. The only things I've pulled from 1ed is letting orcs be warlocks and using vampires from there.

My last two games were PF2e, I like the setting a lot. Dragons and knights of ol' type fantasy has a special place in my heart but I do absolutely love Rifts' fusion of tech, magic, and psionics in a post apocalyptic future.

The game I had years ago which started in PF2e ended up rifting to Phase World. It was ok though since the characters were very powerful for the PF setting and could hold their own in PW.

By choice or by circumstance?

Shame on you if by choice :P

or I'm sorry to hear that if by circumstance. :-(

PF2E. I'd say I average at least 6 games a year of PF. I've only had two years since the mid 90s without a PF2E game. While I got plenty of EPs IRL those 2 years, I'm much happier when I get my PF2E in, and get the EPs in game. Same goes for random insanities.

I live and breath 2nd edition, but first will always have a special place in my heart as the
game that made me love Palladium Fantasy. I will always miss somethings (the original
stats for mini-fireball, metamorphosis spells, and when it was feasible to fight certain beings,
Like you could "with a lot of casualties kill an elemental, dragon, or deity).

I selected haven't but I did try to advertise the hell out doing a game at the local shop using hte PF GM Pack and the small ads/posters in it. No takers. They wanted Pathfinder or D&D.
I am very opinionated. Yes I rub people the wrong way but at the end of the day I just enjoy good hard discussion and will gladly walk away agreeing to not agree :D

A mixture of both. Most of my local games weren't into PF, and in recent years, I've moved to Hackmaster... the new edition is fantastic, with fast moving combat and good balance. New Hackmaster actually does several things I wanted to houserule into Palladium.
