RCC's

Unread post by gdub411 »

How exactly does this mechanic work? I thought at 1st that it was in addition to whatever O.C.C. they took, but then why the experience table for Goblin Cobblers. If they are their own class, then what about Skills, and Secondary Skills and such?

RCCs are Classes that are restricted to a specific Race.

Race's are what have RCC's.

( This is even though the PB writers have in the past mislabeled Races as RCC's. Thus causing the mistaken idea that races are rcc's. It is sort of understandable because they had race and RCC text smooshed together into one section.)

Races can take their race's RCC's or the OCC's available to that race.
However, there are some races that have to take their racial char class.

Okay, I get that RCCs are Racial Classes. What I don't understand is their skill set then. Do they have related and secondary skills? For example, the Goblin Cobbler gets those spells as an innate power, but what else do they get? What are their Related Skills and Secondary Skills? Do they even have any, other than what a typical Goblin gets? What about starting equipment, weapon proficiencies and hand to hand? They are very vague on this.

If there are no "skills" listed, then it is not an RCC, take an OCC.

IOWs, If it does not "look" like a "class", it is a race.

However,
Goblin Cobblers are a subset of the goblin race. The Cobbler powers are added on top of the goblin race stats.

Okay, so in the Goblin Cobbler's case, you take an O.C.C as well. I noticed Cobblers are listed in the back of the rules book. Do they use that experience table or that of their O.C.C.?

They would follow their OCC exp. tables unless later there is correcting text that is published later.

Never take an RCC it is more just to stat out a generic NPC from that race. All RCC are replaceable by OCC.

Nope. Not all RCCs can be replaced. Some races have to take their race's RCC. At least to start.

The ones that have no allowable Classes listed and those RCC's that are also PCC's because of the the class is linked to the race's Psychic powers are ones that all members of that race Has To Take.
