This famous experiment was just covered in a TL;DR (Teal Deer) vid https://youtu.be/HfNKFvHtA3g itcs only 18 minutes long, and provides the a quick overview of everything that happened.
If you're not familiar with it at all, a scientist set out to measure population growth under ideal parameters, controlling against starvation, disease, conflict, and poverty.
The results seemed curious, but promising at first, as the mouse population expanded within their controlled environment, and resources readily available.
Until the stagnation phase.
The mice themselves seemed bored of living. Stopped breeding, and the population went into a death spiral, having never reached the full population potential.
NEXUS would have had access to this, and any number of similar experiments that always yielded similar results.
Then she was tasked with creating a Utopia for Humans...
