Alastons' Mobile Infantry... Its been a long time since you joined up. Since then, you've learned a few things. Mostly, the name is a lie. There are only a few units of standard infantry. The entire town build around Alastons' mines was full of fighting men and women, but most were mages and psychics. Not a moment passed without the roar of heavy war machines powering up.

Today, you're sitting in the briefing room, the only place where the noise stops. A map is projected over your head

Soon, a man with a short beard, and officers stripes, begins speaking

"Above you see the area around the small town of Scotts Bluff. It is in the North Eastern Tip, of what used to be the Stat of Nebraska. The Green Lines are known Ley Lines in the area, while the Red Line appears to be a wall of clouds that our scanners cannot penetrate.

Currently, the Coalition States have been waging a war against the Nation of Tolkeen and her Allies.

They are trying to hold their own, but fear a flanking maneuver from the CS.

This is why they hired us. We will send Companies to several of these small downs throughout their Western Flank, to close off the CS' ability to send an army around without warning.

Scotts Bluff was an old fortress and town, but has been mostly abandoned. You lot, and a reinforced Company, will go, secure the fortress, secure the surrounding area, and carry out your standing Orders. Defend the area. Protect any Refugees who enter your Area, and at all costs, Prevent the CS from having free movement without your Area."

So, does that grab anyones attention?

Ok, so the mechanical side of things.

Game will begin at level 4.
The only stipulation on build is "Must be 100% from Rifts Earth"... Ie - born and raised here. (So no Prometheans, Space Marines, or anything from Phaseworld)

Given the size and operational capasity of the Merc company (see below in the spoiler for details.) you can be from anywhere on Rifts Earth. (so all World Books are open)

Despite the PCs being part of this massive organization, you still only have your starting gear for your class, and 2 years salary (3200/month, = 76800 credits to spend)

You can requisition items as well. (IE- ask me for them), and if you can make a good argument for having them, they will likely be sent in the next supply drop.

I'm interested! Don't care what time/day you want to play but it would probably be a good thing to know...
I think I have a bunch of characters I'd be happy to play that fit your criteria, I'll PM you and let you make the choice.

@Giant2005 -- The day will be picked by those who play more so then myself. Probably Mondays, but that could change.


@ 13eowulf: I do, and I'll use Tyr to fill in some more information:

The Group will each lead a Platoon of men, and each platoon will be based on the the skills and focus of the Leader.

Platoon = 3 Squads + Player Character (leader) + 3 support staff
Squads = 3 Fire Teams + Sgt.
Fire Teams = 3 Men + Corporal

For the Two PCs already:

Tyr = Juicer. (I think calling that a Heavy Combat Specialist isnt too much of a stretch) So his men will be heavy front line fighters.

Fire Team = 3 Kremin Gunfighters + 1 Troll War-Knight
Standard Load Out For Kremin: Crusader Body Armour, Multi-Blade, Wilks-1000 with Backpack
Standard Load Out For Trolls: War Knight PA + Vibro-Battle Axe + NE-99 Rapid Fire Assault Lasers

Squad = 3 Fire Teams + 1 Dwarven MegaJuicer
Standard Load Out For Megajuicer: Two Battle-Axes, Gauntlets, FIWS

Platoon= 3 Squads + Tyr + 2 human Cyber-Docs, 1 Body Fixer
Tyr gets what the PC gives him, Doctors get standard gear.

Danika = Ley Line Walker (Focus on Battlemagic)
Fire Team = 3 Elven Battlemages + 1 Dewtani Shifters
Standard Load Out For Elven Battlemages: 1 Battle Fury Blade + Magics
Standard Load Out For Dewtani Shifters: Summoned and Bound Demons + Magics

Squad = 3 Fire Teams + 1 Lyvorrk Mystic Knight (Good Version)
Standard Load Out For Lyvorrk: Deathbringer Sword + TW Barrier Shield + Maximillian Body Armour

Platoon= 3 Squads + Danika + 3 Lord Magus (carrying PPE balls)

Is it only the PC's forces that are there or will there be platoons/companies of regular infantry and the like?

I think we have some support platoons outside the PC platoons, but not much.

Red Cicle = Field of direct vision from the Fortress
Black Circles = Fields of Vision from Rattlesnake Hill(North), Dark Lake Tower (middle), and Chimney Rock (south east).
Blue lines = most likely approaches for the CS
Purple Boxes = Minefields
Red box = Optimal Kill Zone based on projected routes

When someone asks "where the current battle is ahppening" it is usually a safe bet that the game has started.
