Was going back through old copies of the Rifter. In #13 they describe Techno-Shifters and related devices. However, I noticed there's no pricing for anything. There's supposedly a formula for figuring that stuff out but I find it difficult to apply to anything other than a single-effect upgrade (i.e. adding SH strength to armor, etc.).

Anybody have any idea how much these things, particularly the TW Tectonic Entity Armor or the Lava Cannon would cost? And can you give me a simple way to figure it out (even if it's just a ballpark)?

The big problem is that it was written for the first edition, not the ultimate edition.
In first edition the price and materials were "what you and your GM settle on"
Now there is a chart that, in theory, does everything though I have yet to see a GM that uses it as written... or at least do so for very long. :lol:

Thus for these items your going to have to basically sit down and decide "well, how much do I think is fair for this" and go from there.
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.
