RPG Now After the Bomb

Unread post by rmckee78 »

What are the major differences between the RPG Now version of After the Bomb and the version available for sale here on the site in hard copy? Are they as different as Palladium Fantasy 1st and 2nd? Or are they very close rules-wise? Thank you.

There are two versions available on RPG Now.

This one....
http://www.rpgnow.com/product/61133/After-the-Bomb-RPG
... is the more recent, same as the one for sale here...
https://palladium-store.com/1001/produc ... b-RPG.html

I flipped through the preview PDF from RPG Now and it appears to be a direct scan copy, so 100% identical to the print version I have (but with no handy physical copy to proudly adorn upon the bookshelf).

This version...

...is the old first edition After the Bomb. It's NOT a stand alone system, you'd have to track down a copy of TMNT and Other Strangeness to fully utilize it properly.

To further clarify (I checked my copy) the above statement, not only do you have to track down a copy of TMNT to play; but you have to track down a 1st edition of the rules (as opposed to the revised edition). The difference lies in the way the skills are categorized and what types of skills you get with your background.

Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure that the pdf that has the same cover as the current book was, in fact, the same book. My players have requested some post-nuc adventures.
