TMNT & Other Strangeness Random Rolls

Unread post by DevastationBob »

I was feeling nostalgic and got out the old Other Strangeness Revised and made a couple characters.

#1 Pokey the Punkupine
Porcupine deliberate experimentation, raised in the home of the researcher as a pet but escaped to be educated on the fringes of society. Suspicious of humans. Full Biped and hands, partial speech, no looks with Quill Defense, climbing claws, and enhanced hearing. Size level 7 or 8. (I forget). Once he escaped, Pokey hid out in an old warehouse that some kids used in rehearsals for their punk band. Pokey became influenced by the music and plucks and spray paints his quills to get a mohawk effect. Anarchist in alignment.

#2 Neko the Ninja
Domestic cat encountered some "strange stuff" out in the woods and then was found by one of those random ninja masters that were so common back then (maybe hiding out in the woods from the Foot or Leg clan). I figured she was a feral cat and possibly encountered some of that TCRI goop. All features Full and human looks partial. Climbing claws and nightvision. Size level 7. I picked her skills to match a feline instincts since she wasn't too bright (IQ 9), interrogation (plays with her kills), detect ambush, tracking. Secondary skills were more physical to buff her stats, language Japanese from her mentor and then weapon skills, knives, swords, targeting, and paired weapons. Aberrant alignment. Miawora Tomokato eat your heart out.

#3 Skree the Bat
Bat encountered some "strange stuff" completely self raised and feral. I don't think i'd ever randomly rolled that education before. 1 secondaray skill, some physical buffs. So I went for a more animalistic character. Partial hands at the end of his wings, full biped for free, partial speech, and no looks. Full flight and sonar plus a bite attack. Size level 7. So he's got decent prowl and wilderness survival. For the skill, i took Running since in TMNT&OS spd gave you a dodge bonus. Weird bat creature lurking and maybe raiding chicken houses. Could go good or evil depending on his experiences.

I like making characters. Now you try.

Lt. Nyota Uhura: I'm impressed. For a moment there, I thought you were just a dumb hick who only has sex with farm animals.

James Tiberius Kirk: Well, not _only_...

Urban Animal (Pigeon)
Random Encounter with Strange Stuff
Education: Mentor (Old Mafioso)
Hands:Full Biped: Full Speech:Partial Looks:None Powers:Flight
Animal Psionics: Animal Speech, Animal Control
Size Level: 6

A pigeon got into some "strange stuff" and found itself in a pigeon coop maintained by Carmine "the Icepick" Taglieri, an old "retired" button man for the Syndicate. Carmine was starting to go a little senile, and simply thought the odd mutant was a new breed of super-pigeon. He taught it what skills he still remembered from "the good 'ol days" and allowed it to live in the coop with his other birds. The mutations allow the bird to speak and control other pigeons. With a near limitless supply in the city, he can control flocks for surveillance and distractions. Anarchist alignment.

Peter "Pete" Procyon
Wild Animal (Raccoon)
Deliberate Experimentation: Educated and trained as if the character were a normal human. Good relationship and balanced outlook on humans. 2 Skill programs:Physical & Medical (+10%) and 8 secondary skills:. Separate from organization, but with good relationship.
Organization: Military
Hands/Biped/Speech/Looks:Full/Full/Full/None
Powers:Advanced Touch, Advanced Hearing
Psionics:None
Size Level: 8

Created as part of Canadian military project to "fight fire with fire" to curb their increasing mutant animal problem. Many mutants fled north to escape BIO-Spawn and the more feral ones are beginning to create a problem in some outlying less urbanized areas. Designed as a multi-purpose soldier/lab assistant to support techs in the field, the raccoon was selected for their natural intelligence and curiosity.

Mr. Horse (Chevy Trotsky)
Rural Animal (Horse)
Random Mutation: Went public and educated at a major university. Likes and trusts humanity, 4 years of college=3 Skill Programs:Physical, Technical, Science (+20% Scholastic) 10 Secondary Skills.
Hands/Biped/Speech/Looks:Partial/Partial/None/Partial
Powers: Hooves
Psionics:Telepathic Transmission
Size Level:10

Everyone knows Mr. Horse. After a period of intense sun-spot activity (and some claim UFO sightings) a mare gave birth to what was first assumed to be a deformed colt. As it developed and it's intelligence became apparent, the little mutant became an internet sensation. His publicity protected him from Bio-Spawn's attention and he was able to lead a fairly normal life. After attending University on a track and field scholarship he's endorsed some products (He made Mane and Tail a fortune) and is wisely investing his earnings, but is looking for purpose in his life.

LS Test Subject#745513 (Molly)
Rural Animal (Dog:Collie)
Deliberate Experimentation: Rescued from organization and adopted by friendly researcher at young age. Constantly hunted by organization. Distrusts humans, but knows there are some good ones out there.
Hands/Biped/Speech/Looks:All None
Powers:Teeth, Claws, Advanced Smell
Psionics:See Aura, Mind Block, Sixth Sense, Telepathic Transmission
Size Level:5

A secret military base in Texas was doing genetic uplift experimentation with canine DNA. Molly was the last of a litter that was developing the most promisingly, but the harsh experimental regimen cut down their numbers significantly. She was stolen by a tender hearted research assistant and vanished into the mutant underground. While appearing to be a regular dog, she is very intelligent and protective of her human. She is incredibly wary of Bio-Spawn after a close call with one of their retrieval teams.
