Think of it as a suggestion. Let's say that you want a character with Looks: Full or Perfect to have a Beak or Talons, All you'd have to do is pick and choose. Although, you MIGHT want to as the person(s) running the game if he/she/they'd allow it. It's up to them to allow it.

It is well documented that for every minute you excercise, you add a minute to your life. This enables you, at 85 years of age, to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $5,000 per month-An anonymous family member of Rathorc Lemenger.

Kind of surprised that the Raptors don't automatically get Advanced Vision or the Turkey Vulture Advanced Smell.

A thing that has always irked me about AtB2 birds is all of the different flight options available to a species that shouldn't be. I think the type of flight should be limited to the basic structure/physiology of the original bird. But that is a call PB made when designing the game.

Silent Flight - Only available to Owls for the special type of feather they have on the leading edge of their wings.
Soaring Flight - Only available to birds that actually utilize that method or have the wing structure for it. Condors, buzzards, eagles, sea birds, etc.
Raptor flight - Well that's easy enough it's right there in the name.
Acrobatic flight - Smaller birds that don't have the wing structure to allow them to soar.
Basic flight/Glide - everyone can have that.

Thanks for the fishhawks...I see bald eagles with increasing frequency along the Connecticut River, and the ospreys along Cape Cod(one couple even nests on top of a piling right next to the busy Steamship Authority slip in Woods Hole).
Seeing the birds of prey return in numbers, when as a child I hardly remember seeing them at all?
We must be doing something right. :D 8)

Bird (Bird of Prey): Red-Tailed Hawk
Original Animal Characterististics:
Description: The Red-TailedHawk is the most widely distributed and and commonly seen species of Hawk in North America. There are as many as 15 Subspecies of Red-Tailed Hawk that have been discribed to date. These Subspecies tend to vary in colouration, tail markings, and size. The very dark Harlen's Hawk, which breeds in Alaska and the NorthWestern Portion of Canada, is so distinctive from the normal Red-Tailed Hawk that it was at one (1) time thought of as a seperate species from the rest of the family, but recent research suggests otherwise. While it occasionally stoops on prey, the Red-Tailed Hawk usually adopts a sit-and-wait approach.
The various subspeciesof Red-Tailed Hawk tend to forage in open areas and in a wide range of habitats and altitudes, varying from Scrub Deserts, Grasslands, Agricultural Fields and Pastures to Coniferous and Decidous Woodlands and Tropical Rainforests. They species as a whole tend to prefer areas with tall perch sites and can be found in Suburban Woodlots.

Somewhere I have a word document that has (most) all of the animals, including illustrations, posted to this thread. It's at least 200 pages long and still far from complete. With changes to the formatting to make it look the way it would be printed in on of PB's books I worn out editing it. As it stands I have an entire folder in my email dedicated to "Rathorc Mutants Not Added Yet."

I appreciate the work you do

You're welcome. My post was supposed to convey the idea that someone out there appreciates what you post and is trying to preserve it. I was trying to say that it matters, and isn't just getting lost in the ether of cyberspace.
