Okay Say I want to run an After the Bomb Campain using the Original Background and Skills Rules for First Edition HU or TMNT&OS (I don't have access to EITHER of those two books: YET......) or convert Deluxe Revised Recon to the Palladium system using the conversion rules as printed (two thing I WANT to do)...... here's the problem: I don't know which skills could be taken as Scolastic/College Skills or High School Skills..... Could someone post a LIST of what skills could be taken as College and High School Skills in Either 1st Edition Heros Unlimited OR 1st Edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness (I've heard they are nearly, If not outright identical in that regard) if they have one or both books (this will be GREATLY appreciated). I don't want full descriptions of the skills just the Names and the skill category (High School OR College) they fall under and percentages (I only want percentages for those skills without a direct HU2 Counterpart). This is not just Intended just for me but for others who have the same problem. Thank you and happy holidays.
NOTE: The OTHER skill categories in those First Editions of HU & TMNT&OS were: Military, Physical and Espionage and Secondary Skills ALL of which have a an equivalent skill category in HU2 (so figuring those out and adapting the HU2 skills for them is NO problem for me. so we'll ignore those.
This actually poses a very good question to the adminstrators.
He already _has_ the current book, but he wants information from previous incarantions.
And those books are no longer produced or sold.
So would kevin mind terribly the posting of changes/errata for books that are no longer being made?

You can have something done good, fast and cheap. If you want it done good and fast, it's not going to be cheap. If you want it done fast and cheap it won't be good. If you want something done good and cheap it won't be done fast. ~ Dark Brandon

I have it on good authority that Kev/palladium don't realy mind LISTS of skills and their categories being posted, or even the percentages (just not the descriptions and rules for the skills). All I really want is a list of College and High School Skills from the first Eddition HU or TMNT&OS so I can run the above games (I CAN wing it, but prefer something Hard and fast to base that on).

This is from the revised, first edition HU (Can't believe my copy is so ancient)
High School Graduate: 2 Skill Programs, 10 Secondary Skills Trade School/On The Job Training: 2 Skill Programs, 8 Secondary 1-2 Years of College: 2 Skill Programs, 8 Secondary 3 Years of College: 3 Skill Programs, 8 Secondary Skills 4 Years of College: 3 Skill Programs, 10 Secondary Skills Bachelor's: 3 Skill Programs, 10 Secondary Skills Master's Degree: 3 Skill Programs, 10 Secondary (higher skill bonus then Batch) Doctorate: 4 skill Programs, 10 Secondary
Hope that helps.
Acually it doesn't. I'm looking for the lists of skills in the High School and College skill CATEGORIES (Not Skill Programs) from the very First Edition Heros Unlimited (Or TMNT&OS) NOT the Revised Editions: which should actually be a Second Edition really than Revised Edition considering the changes between the two versions (I'm looking for the info in the first edition ones that came out before robotech did: there is a number of diferances between them, believe me). I aprecieate the thought though, however.
That's awesome Verdilak! Thanks! Could you include the percentages for the skill that don't have current, in print equivelents, please. (skill desciptions are unnessassary: besides posting full desciptions would violate the board rules ). This is cool thanks again!

It will have to wait as far as percentages go, I just have the time right now.
And are you sure thats what you wanted, because thats whats in my 2nd and 3rd printing of TMNT.
I think your missing the Medical Doctor Skill and I think there Was a Robotics Engineering Skill as well (sorta like Robot Mechanics and Electronics combined in one skill, I'm not sure: it's been a while since I've seen those old books) that was slight different. I THINK there was a Pilot : Tank or Military Vehicles and Pilot: Jets, and Airplanes and Basic Helicopter (will look at your list again to see if they are there) otherwise it look's complete (minus percentages). You're a cool guy! Thanks Again. As for a villian named after you: I'll see what I can dream up!

Well, those skills you think I may have missed, I will bold them in the one post for you so you can see them.

Verdilak is a good villain name, now that you mention it.
Now you just need a good adjective to go along with it, like:
Verdilak the Destroyer
Verdilak the Impaler
Verdilak the Deceiver
And so on and so forth.

"Bodycount's in the house!" - Ice T
