What Did Santa Bring You?
Santa was kind enough to swing by and drop off a set of Norse Foundry Wondrous Dice!

I see your sick wife and child and raise you another sick child.
All 3 of them were sick the whole time I had off, December 23 - January 2nd. Just like I predicted I managed to fight it off until the day before I was to return to work. So now I'm at the worst of it but still at work, ugh!
Santa also brought me a wife that for the time being can only use one leg, long story there, but he also brought me some nice presents too!

Good to know I'm not the only one with the sick child gift.

Re: What Did Santa Bring You?
Let's continue the sick theme for another week. Mandated to work New Year Eve,
caught stomach flu, because of a point system, no choice but to come in to work,
drove thorugh a snow storm, worked an hour before my body finally told me to go
home, drove back through bad weather and unplowed roads to crash for about 18-20
hours, missed all of New Years Day. This holiday season is starting to bite really bad.
The birthday is next week , what holiday joy can I expect next?

It could be worse, your tv could break and only channel you get is showing a Brady Bunch marathon. Hope you feel better and your birthday is better than your holiday week.

Not to try and one up but.....
Got the results back from the MRI and it was bad enough when they though she had one blood clot in her leg, now she has multiple blood clots and possible neurological damage as well.

Man that is rough to hear. I hope they can take care of it and no neuro damage for her.

Oh hell no that's real torture. But I'll throw my friend luck over the holidays, the
apartment complex he lives in decided to go with Comcast over the
cable/internet/phone company they were using. Well the old company heard that and
cut them off four days before Chirstas so an enntire apartment complex 150+ people
loose the internet, cable, and phones. Kids home on Christmas break with nothing
electronic working, elderly people stuck at home with bad weather with no cable, no
Facebook, no texting friends nothing. Needless to say Comcast doesn't arrive to start
setting up lines until a week later when its like -15 below zero. They work three days
then go on holiday for New Years and come back just a few days ago, and they will
won't having anything up at running until Monday, January 8. Needless to say my
friend had go into the closet find the old DVD player and make a few treks to the
library to keep the kids entertained.

Sorry to hear about that. Stomach flu is 24 hours of hell, that is something you don't
just take a nap and fell better the following day. Hope medical science can do
something for her.

Thanks, for the concern.
Turns out it is nerve damage. She can't rotate her foot at the ankle or lift her toes, wiggle them or point her toes to the ground.
Luckily we got in to see our family Doctor yesterday and he said to stop listening to the other doctors at the clinic by our house (we were going there because of the proximity due to our recent move, it was less painful to get here there because of the shorter car ride. 5 minute ride vs 45 minute ride.).
He said if she would have kept listening to them, they said stay off your leg completely and don't do any type of exercise/rehab, then she would have ended up crippling her leg.
He asked how long ago it happened and I was like two weeks, and he cuts me off and says "oh, excellent. caught it in plenty of time", and then I finished my sentence "before Christmas". He got pissed at those other doctors, but reassured her that it was still caught in time and is not a the stage of being irreversible.

Tee-shirts, a pair of dress pants, a new hoodie, two movies, Secrets of the Atlanteans (softbound and printer's proof signed), another copy of Dark Designs (signed), Rifter #78 (signed), and cash. Oh, and baked goods... lots and lots of baked goods.
The best part, though, was getting to spend time with family and friends. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Now it's back to work on my writing projects...

Yep, my wife and I had our fifth kid a little before Christmas; that little dude is the main reason my Eastern Territory map came out a bit late for this year's grab bags.

Re: What Did Santa Bring You?
Santa was angry with me last year and brought me flu. And my wife a solo trip to Greece. We were expecting to spend a proper time together and have a look at some properties in Athens, got a business idea, dreaming of moving closer to the sea, well, next trip to Greece will be in April only. Tickets booked, fingers crossed the house I want will be still on market.

Moving to Athens? That sounds epic! Keep us posted. What's the business idea ?

Thank you.
Now I just want to sleep a whole night...maybe for my birthday... :) It is not as if she is cries, she is just curious and wants attention. As soon as you look at her, she is quiet and happy. If you look away, she starts to make sounds... She is hatching evil plots :P
