For many years, I have seen a multitude of players post a version of this message "I love XYZ game, but nobody in my town plays XYZ and I don't know how to find players." My response has always been that I am sure that potential players are sitting around THAT SAME TOWN wondering the SAME THING!
Does anyone know of a good online player finder?
Does anyone know who PB could develop their own? (or be gifted one?)
If you wonder what I am talking about, here's what I mean.
You go to a website. You log in your zip code and the radius you would drive for a game (10 miles, 25 miles, 50 miles, etc).
Then you put the type of games you would want to play.
Then you get a list of other website members also interested in that game in your radius. Then you could PM all those members via that website so you could join their games or invite them into your own.
Blammo. New gaming group.
How do we make that happen?

ive had some success with http://nearbygamers.com/ and meetup.com, i think a larger metro area would have betteer luck,
You'll take my life but I'll take yours too
You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through
So when you're waiting for the next attack
You'd better stand there's no turning back

Gamers looking for Gamers style forums are a good start, but I am thinking of something more akin to Nearby Gamers. Forum posts are passive and get dated very fast. What I am thinking would be more evergreen and more active in its ability to connect people.

On Facebook I started a community a long time ago that has regular Palladium Players called the Tabletop RPG One Shot Group. Also I have a new community called Tabletop Gaming with Juce which has been steadily growing and I plan to do more for games there as well.
Games: Savage Rifts, Fantasy Age, Dragon Age, Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition, Heroes Unlimited, TMNT, Ninjas and Superspies, and Rifts
