I think it is the "z" in your user name. It makes you sound younger! lol

Just finished it and thought you did well. You have a good mic. Nice clear sound which is soooo important. Sound is the main reason I tend to drop podcasts (that and a non existant release schedule!). I look forward to the next episode! Great job!

I enjoyed the last podcast about character creation. I believe I am just making it too difficult because I find character creation very frustrating. You covered the basic process, but some of the difficulty is all of the skills and how they apply to the character once selected. Do all Strength skills stack to add to your SDC, hit points, and stats? How do you determine your attack bonus? Really fleshing out a character could answer some questions for the new comers (such as myself) that really don't know where to start.

Good Commute listening... Thanks!

Jaymz, if I may offer an experienced suggestion: Avoid Talkshoe like the plague. If you're going to be focused on pre-recorded episodes and don't need to use audience participation, I STONGLY suggest posting to youtube instead. Get yourself a splash image to fill the screen space and tag it with the audio. It's actually pretty easy with a much more reliable service. If you want audience participation, then I suggest twitch instead. It has a better live chat and you can basically do the same thing as the youtube. Throw up a static splash and you're good to go. Alternatively, if you don't mind being on camera you can use your webcam and people can see you as you talk. If you want to go nuts, you could get facerig, which a neat motion capture thing. You basically pick an avatar, customize it, and then it copies what your face does through your webcam.

Talkshoe has stagnated in it's improvement and considering how bad it was at the start, that's a REALLY bad thing.

All that being said, good luck and I look forward to listening to it.

Thanks PA. Yeah talkshoe is just a stop gap for now.

Pre recorded I'll eventually post to a generic Dropbox or personal server once I get another one.

Recording is about as technical I get on this. Adding a clip art or static image I'm just not patient enough it have time to do so yet otherwise YouTube for sure.

Is it too difficult for you to post them in iTunes? I have several podcasts and it is much easier for me to keep everything organized in just one place. Thanks and congratulations!

Episode #1:

"Hello, and welcome to the first episode of The Palladium Files Podcast.

My name is Jaymz, and I dare you to TRY and spell out in letters the way that I pronounce 'about' and 'out.' "

Episode #2:

"In this episode, there is much sipping of Tea, and much expectorating as I have come down with something. In the distance a birdy beastie is heard squawking. I go into The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly The Great, The Good, and The Bad about various aspects of Palladium Books from individual lines to the video game to the once-upon-a-time Card Game, and I give you a friendly warning:

DO NOT MESS WITH ME, BECAUSE I WILL SMACK YOU. I'VE DONE IT BEFORE."

Not the way that those words came from your lips. good sir.

The closest that I can come to is "Ah-bee-aaay-owt" and "Ay-eee-owt,"

It was like hearing somebody combine the words 'About,' 'Abate, and 'A-Boot' all together, and all at once.

Episode #3:

"Hello folks, jaymz here again. In Episode Three, there will be more sipping of Tea (or is it something stronger?? ) as I go into the process of Character Creation but break it down so that even the newest game player can roll one up with ease.

Also, in this episode I warn posers that if they claim to be long-term Palladium Players, but it takes them more than a year or two to roll up a single character, I'll have them arrested and clapped in irons for fraud. Me? After nearly 30 years of this, I can roll up a brand new character in my head whilst defusing a nuclear bomb and riding on a unicycle with one pedal missing, but I'm not bragging or anything."

Notable Quotes Thus Far:

"I've probably rambled on long enough."
-Jaymz, commenting at the conclusion of Episode 2

"We agree wholeheartedly."
-Leo Tolstoy, Frank Herbert, and Ayn Rand

"The evil.....more evil alignments.....they're evil. They'll do whatever the f- er, hell they want, essentially."
-Jaymz, who almost slipped in alignment from Unprincipled to Miscreant before catching himself in Episode 3

No Sir, I am actually enjoying your podcasts a great deal while having fun at your expense.

You just sit tight, between the information in your podcasts and my use of 'artistic license' in giving the audience a tl;dr recap of your episodes, millions of Palladium fans will get a mental image of you in no time flat.

I have to say I am surprised no one has actually derided or criticized my podcasts yet truth be told.

As for Tea? No. Coffee in most cases and on one occasion Coke Zero.

I like to talk but generally speaking all my chatter is typed so I need to drink while doing the podcasts or my throat croaks etc from being too dry. :D

Thus far, you haven't said anything controversial -hell, new GMs should use your podcasts to get New Players up to speed.

Now if you actually do want to be 'controversial,' then go into the whole CS/Tolkeen war and who you think should have won...or you could always say whether or not you think it is possible to teleport into a sealed vehicle.....
