Re: GenCon 2019
I am thinking of running a miniatures game based off the Juicer Uprising. The game rules would be similar to the old WotC Star Wars miniatures rules. I have the props, I would just have to develop and test the scenarios. Thoughts anyone?

Re: GenCon 2019
Just bought my badge and booked my hotel. I ran one game last year and had two others, but they were no show. I think this year I will only run one or two.

Re: Gen Con 2018
What is NMI's involvement? By reading GenCon's game submission section, it sounds like each GM submits their own game. I believe if there is enough Palladium-specific events, he can get better allocation of space and time for events, as well as getting badges upgraded to Game Master if you put in e...

Greetings all! Gen Con just released the initial events listings and there are only two Rifts games scheduled and 14 overall Palladium-franchise games listed. Have there been a lot of late submissions that will show up later in the catalog? Ask NMI, he is in charge of GenCon I sent an email to NMI ...

Re: Building catch-all adventurer's kits
The list could also list region, availability, legality, and complexity as well. The legality could be something as obvious as magic items are illegal in the CS, portable computers illegal in the New Empire, or if the GM happens to make it illegal there could be a checkmark signifying it. Complexit...

Re: Building catch-all adventurer's kits
Seems highly dependent on backstory. What would be more valuable, in my opinion, would be a set of tables reflecting the contents of shops encountered in different areas; divided by power-source (tech, magic, psi) and scarcity. That would come in handy. It could also give some basic stats such as a...

Building catch-all adventurer's kits
I am looking for ideas to create and compile standardized adventuring/survival kits (like the NG-S2 or ninja emergency kits) for a variety of game worlds (Splicers, PFRPG, Rifts: High Tech, Rifts: Low Tech, etc.). The ultimate goal is to put them in an easy to reference PDF for MAs and players. Thou...

Re: Best magic user for an archer type character
Scathatch and Filidh Druids would probably make good archers. You might need to bend the rules slightly to give them more advanced weapon skills like Kyudo or sharpshooter skills with the bow, but they could make and enchant a variety of arrows and pump themselves up on enchanted drugs/herbs.
Re: Hades ..

Dimensional travel in the Megaverse is almost as casual as walking from Uptown to Downtown. Succor-Bemoth should have known better than to casually stroll through someone else's...

Re: Tips and Techniques for Encouraging Skill Uses
I think skill use shows up different in different groups and players work. I have some players that want to talk it out and role-play the situation, others aren't as gifted in that area so they choose to let the dice speak for them. To encourage the use of skills, you need to build in problems wher...

Re: Tips and Techniques for Encouraging Skill Uses
I prefer a little of both. Some situations are not about talking it out and roleplaying and you need the dice to figure out what happened. Swimming does come to mind, as do the medical skills. Some situations are just built for roleplaying even if there is a skill available to cover it. Courtly and...

Jussayin.
Agreed. Dice rolls and character stats also keep players in check...at least sometimes.

Tips and Techniques for Encouraging Skill Uses

It looks as if GenCon accepted my GM request. Event #RPG1465371, Rifts: The Shadow of Mikaboshi, is available. Two and a half weeks isn't a bad turn around for a late submission. Hope to see some of you there!

Re: Yamabushi Mountain Priest Vs Yggdrassil
Also keep in mind the Midgard Serpent is more than likely not going to appreciate someone nailing themselves to "his" tree. Odin is likely to give the Midgard Serpent pause before he considers attacking. A pitiful Yamabushi is likely to make a quick snack.

If you want to stay in canon as much as possible, what about making Copán a staging area for the Sons of Quetzocoatl, and they are preventing a Vampire Intelligence from taking over the ruins?
