I think it is pretty reasonable to expect them to get upgraded to MDC damage. They still are not that potent vs anybody with MDC unless they have large numbers which is pretty in keeping with dead reign. I believe I'm going with a 1/2 penalty, rounding down and a minus 2 to all auto dodges. Also 50-80% of Range and/Ammo Everything will have PC enhanced, that are mecha or Energy weapon .

That kinda makes the Protoculture Targeter on the invid basically useless on Older Mecha, unless the energy weapons on them are considered Protoculture.

Yes, but would you rather have the CADS or have a weapon that didn't put you at such risk to use? All weapons put you at risk. If your trying to aim, then your not dodging or parrying effectively. Plus there is a cinematic quality of cool in the palladium/ robotech/macross shows that allow for that...

I saw in the series that the Metal siren could take out capitol ships by itself. It could generate a ship killing energy field reminicent of the shield failure than killed ontario in the Macross Saga. That might be why it's considered an attack mecha.
