Its just seems real easy to turn out a combat monster and I feel cheap just saying the random monster has parry + 5 of the melee tanks standard attack roll. I'm still new to this system but I need to know how to make combat work in a fun way.

Anyone running savage rifts noticing book published npc generic stats dont really hold up against pcs? Anyone have any quick and dirty help for balancing combat beyond " npcs have whatever stats the gm wants".

I think the latest version of the conversion book says master psionics can take ninjas and superspies powers, and those are semi magical.

Ive used BTS like how DC used to use vertigo. The heroes handle the bright obvious stuff the BTS crew handle the shadows.

It has been pointed out to me rifts original edition had strap on limbs that you pump isp/ppe into and it and it works as a limb for the duration of the charge. I see 0 reason this wouldnt work for SR. No need to attach flesh to metal. who pointed that out? i don't see anything like that in my RMB....

I just did my first game it went well.
It was a little hard to hurt my more combat oriented players I think I'll need to be more creative or maybe do a version of the daredevil hallway fight to soften them up.

I should have probably mentioned the group make up.
1 mind melter 1 cyber knight 1 borg and 1 line walker. no idea on the powers for the melter or the walker yet.
Trappings for the spells kind of make me nervous I might make up a few apeing UR spells just to keep stuff from going of of line.
