Have your character's blood removed and replaced with a synthetic substitute. Soul drinking requires drawing the victim's blood, but it's not in their body, it's been sold from some blood bank someplace. ;)

Magically modify your soul to become the Rune Weapon equivalent of malware. Someone's dumb enough to soul-drink you and you root their Rune Weapon and turn it against them. Job done. :)

I'd say anything that causes the character to make a major body movement would interrupt an aimed shot (eg. dodging, getting knocked back/over, whatever), but yeah that's total house rule territory. :)

Obviously, full-conversion borgs have an armature inside their frame which carries their organic parts, and this is configured to automatically move these parts around in order to dodge incoming phase-beamer fire. You might say they have wandering minds. :lol:
